How we write notes in class &#8211; the capture process. Sometimes teachers even dictate what should we write. That&#8217;s horrible.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">What should proper notes from a lesson be like?<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list \">\n<li>brief<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>detailed enough to show the context<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>easy to remember<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">Nobody wants to spend hours learning from incomplete, bad notes. Neither do I. Neither do you. But either way, you&#8217;ve now learned as much in one glance at the diagram (mindmap) as I could write in three paragraphs of (boring) linear notes.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">Best for me is to combine the two. Either way, you can use both digital and analogue.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"dont-listen-to-the-teacher\">(don&#8217;t) listen to the teacher<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">Don&#8217;t rely on what the teacher dictates. Does it ever happen to you that you don&#8217;t understand the teacher&#8217;s interpretation at first? That&#8217;s understandable &#8211; you don&#8217;t think the same way and you don&#8217;t know as much as an expert. That&#8217;s why you have to formulate the notes yourself &#8211; for yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">Every time you want to write something down, ask yourself:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list \">\n<li>Will I need it (for a test or maybe for myself)?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Isn&#8217;t there a better way to say it and make it shorter?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">And most importantly &#8211; 90% of the time, don&#8217;t write in complete sentences. Write in bullet points and headings, like this:<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"summary-in-the-form-of-linear-notes\">SUMMARY IN THE FORM OF LINEAR notes<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list \">\n<li>concise, with context<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use diagrams, drawings &#8211; non-linear note-taking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>write only things:<ul class=\"wp-block-list \">\n<li>useful, essential (for a test, for yourself)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in your own words<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph \">Concise, simple and clear right?
